Jingle Keyboard is a small program that allows you to add some fun while you are typing. By default when you make a keystroke a sound is played automatically.

The most interesting one is the old typewriter sound that is reproduced when any of the numbers or small letters is pressed. When you press any shifted key or if caps lock is activated, a different sound is played. The Enter key has the old carriage return sound. Also the next keys have different sounds: Spacebar, Escape, tab, Caps lock, function keys, backspace, arrows, left, right and middle mouse buttons.

The program allows you to create different sound schemes. Each sound scheme includes a list of keys; you can select which keys will sound and browse your computer for other .WAV files. The program has three predefined sound schemes, but you can modify their parameters and save them with a different name. Jingle Keyboard may not play sound, if a given key has been previously assigned to another program or function. This free version modifies the search engine of the browser (IE 7.xx +, FF 3.5 +) to provide results from Google search.

Jingle works just fine. But it does not work when I compose an email. I am using Yahoo email services. Can someone help me out with this. I do more emailing than letter writing.

Doesn't work. You can type a dozen of keys before it makes a sound, and it sounds nothing like a typewriter.

Too slow. I'm typing faster than it can produce the sound, so it's annoying as I often hear only every 3rd clacking. Too much silence before and after the .wav files, that's the reason but why should I correct this? Isn't it the developer's job?

Yes, you have no choice to do anything. It's all somebody else's fault. Shame on the developer for not making your life perfect.

Guest, The comment section is not only for positive feedback but negative as well. Both have equal value.
